All About Me
My name is Raygan Rensing, and I am fourteen, turning fifteen in February. I was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, and lived in Raleigh for five years before moving to Wake Forest, where I have lived ever since. I am an only child who loves being active, playing sports, spending time with my friends, and being outdoors if the weather is nice. I also like to unwind by reading a good book or watching a movie. I attended Rolesville Elementary School and Wake Forest Middle School, where I was on the volleyball and softball teams in seventh and eighth grade, and in eighth grade I was a Captain for both teams. I enjoy playing volleyball, and I played for Heritage High School JV team this past fall, but softball is my passion. I play for a travel softball team, the NC Challengers 14u Futures. We travel to South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Florida. This summer we are traveling to all of these states, and also many more, such as, Tennessee, New Jersey, and California. I predominantly pitch for my travel team, but I also play 2nd base and outfield and plan on trying out for the HHS Varsity team in the spring. My goal is to commit to a college that I really like on an academic or softball scholarship, and to play softball all four years of college as a pitcher. I want to major in architecture because I love math, or psychology/health and human services because I want to make a difference in peoples' lives.
"They call this a softball. But really, it's a yellow threaded gift from God, revealed to each young lady who dares to play the game. Somewhere between her heart and hard work, she will find the thread that will unwrap the talent she didn't know she had, develop the characteristics she will always need, and transform her teammates into everlasting friends." -Unknown
"Close friends are truly life's treasures. Sometimes they know us better than we know ourselves. With gentle honesty, they are there to guide and support us, to share our laughter and our tears. Their presence reminds us that we are never really alone." -Unknown
